Ranked among the top 15 hotels in Miami by Travel + Leisure Magazine, Kimpton Angler’s is a historic Mediterranean boutique hotel with a trendy twist! It offers 132 stylish, well-ventilated guest rooms and an array of modern amenities, including a panoramic rooftop pool & bar with sundeck, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, and EV charging stations.
Location
The hotel is just a couple of blocks away from South Beach. It allows you to enjoy an experience of a private retreat, yet it’s just a stone’s throw away from all the colorful drama of Miami. Strategically located at the beginning of the world-famous Art Deco District, Angler’s offers easy access to some of the swankiest nightclubs, bars, restaurants, shopping arcades, architectural marvels, and art destinations of the city.
The Vibe and Ambience
The property is built around a historic Mediterranean Revival Building dating back to the 1930s. However, you wouldn’t notice its existence at first glance since when you arrive, you are greeted at their newly built lobby, which has sleek floor-to-ceiling glass windows, mood lighting, and a glamorous gold mosaic art piece.
The overall vibe can be described as sanctuary-style and hip, with thoughtful, elegant touches everywhere. You’ll find an artistic use of tribal prints and patterns in several parts of the hotel, and there’s bamboo flooring, marble baths, and bohemian decor with ample use of fabrics like jute, cotton, and corn fibers.
The ambiance is laidback and relaxing. Especially the adult-only rooftop pool & bar area, with its cabanas and bougainvillea, instantly makes you feel calm inside.
Seawell and Minnow Bar
For dining and drinks, there are two fantastic options to explore at the Angler’s itself. Seawell Fish N’ Oyster is an American seafood restaurant known for its locally sourced preparations with the freshest ingredients. The menu has a mix of regional classics like a selection of ‘raw bar’ items and platters, along with some modern, offbeat interpretations, served in a laid-back, ocean-themed atmosphere.
With its tastefully done, garden-like outdoor patio (there’s indoor space as well), Seawell has become quite the talk of the town. It is loved for its amazing food, quick and attentive service, large portion size, and complimentary coffee!
On the other hand, Minnow Bar is a reimagined gin house known for its zesty, unique clear spirits created with herb-infused craft cocktails. The space is modern and eclectic but, at the same time, intimate and welcoming. It features a full-service, modern-style bar on its breezy open outdoor terrace setting.
Rooms
There are several accommodation options to choose from – you can pick a humble room, book a studio, a suite, a villa, or even a three-story poolside bungalow if you want. We recommend staying in a room that comes with an attached balcony terrace. Otherwise, you’ll miss what this place has to offer.
The rooms are spacious and well-furnished, with a king-size bed, a living area with a sofa, an extra-large balcony, a wet bar with a mini fridge, a walk-in shower, a soaker tub, and full-size toiletries. Also, there’s a yoga mat in every room.
The decor is bright blue colored, and there’s a prominent use of white and natural wood. The artwork is a mix of Pop Art and mid-century traditional designs and patterns. Plus, there’s always an element of playful surprises. Be ready to find brass fixtures and driftwood artwork in your room.
What Else?
There’s no on-site gym, but you get full access to Orange Theory HITT off-site fitness classes. Daily Vinyasa Yoga Classes are also available on the Breezeway. You can also book spa therapy in your room! And oh, did we mention that this property is pet-friendly?
