Art and Technology Meet: Van Gogh, The Immersive Experience

Are you ready for a new way to experience art? Like never before? This is where art and technology come together. This is what Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience does. If you’ve ever wanted to be transported into a Van Gogh piece of art, now you can when you attend this highly anticipated powerful exhibit now open in New York City.

Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience is a once-in-a-lifetime event located on the former trading floor of the New York Mercantile Exchange, now known as Skylight at 300 Vesey Street, which is located in Battery Park.

It is a must-see, or should I say, a must experience. It did not disappoint. The experience includes galleries that chronicle his life and techniques along with his influence thru panels and re-creations beautifully done and showcased.

The show stopper was the projections of the artist’s most compelling works. Using the latest and most innovative 4k resolution technology visitors will step into a virtual experience featuring more than 400 of Van Gogh’s iconic sketches, drawings, and paintings dramatically displayed on projection surfaces. A 360-degree digital “art event” that explores the life and works of Vincent Van Gogh, the Dutch genius. This experience is made possible by state-of-the-art video mapping technology, along with impressive projections on the floor to create the impression for the audience feeling part of the pieces of art.

4k resolution technology was provided exclusively by Barco, the global leader in visual display technology. All of this was made possible by Exhibition Hub, an international entertainment producer and Fever, a leading entertainment discovery platform that has collaborated with Running Subway, a New York-based entertainment production company to bring you this one-of-a-kind exhibit.

Additionally, the exhibit offers history and details about Van Gogh, a virtual reality room that you can experience walking in the artist’s shoes and his work.  Also, a hands-on art area where you can be a modern-day Van Gogh is something the kids will love.

You will be astonished by this exhibit and the imagination put into the concepts. You will unforgettably experience Van Gogh’s art.
