In March, in response to the pandemic, Los Angeles-based Carvery Kitchen transformed its dine-in deli location into a mini market, offered discounts to seniors, and free meals for kids, all available for curbside pickup.

To show its appreciation to those on the front lines, in late April, Carvery Kitchen also delivered 400 complimentary meals to medical staffers at Cedars-Sinai hospital. Known for its slow roasted meats and offering a new and exciting twist on your typical deli food, Carvery Kitchen delivered to hundreds of medical professionals its chicken, turkey and famous brisket sandwiches, along with a side of shaved Brussels sprouts and chopped salad.

While all of us have been impacted by the recent events in the world, Carvery Kitchen is fighting to keep its doors opened, its team employed, while remaining dedicated to helping those most affected by the global crisis. A GoFundMe campaign was launched to help keep operations going and ultimately support those in need, including those on the front lines at local hospitals, children facing hunger due to school closures and the elderly. No donation is considered too small and all will make an impact in the lives of many. Donations will also help to cover food and delivery costs associated with meal donations. The establishment has also implemented extra sanitation measures to ensure social distancing and safety standards are being met.

Carvery Kitchen is owned by Diana Brigitt and Kathy Panchenko, who have known each other for decades. Early on, both Dina and Kathy held a passion for the restaurant business and bringing people together through food. Today their passion is stronger than ever, and the pair decided to open their own restaurant. And so, built on the foundation of quality ingredients made by those with a love for the art of cooking, Carvery Kitchen was born.
