Fig 8’s Chef’s Table Series Takes Fine Dining Experience To New Heights

The lifestyle team at Fig 8 in downtown Los Angeles recently hosted the fourth installment of their monthly Chef’s Table Series in their private social club on the 41st floor. The tasting event featured a prix fixe menu of modern American fare by LA-native Chef Neal Fraser of Redbird, and elevated beverage pairings.

The evening began with a welcome drink of Grape, Orange Wine, Pisco, St Germain, Brandy, and Clarified Cirtus Carbonation setting the stage for the culinary journey ahead. The five-course menu included standout dishes such as Hokkaido Scallop Crudo with a yuzu kosho and buddha hand lemon ponzu, Brentwood Corn Soup with Dungeness crab, and a New Zealand John Dory gnocchi with peas and morels. Fig 8 residents had their taste buds ‘blown away’ from the fourth course, a California Squab with forbidden black rice and green curry, that was highly praised by all attendees.

The carefully curated beverage menu featured drink pairings including the “Cantaloupe” with Mezcal, Blood Orange Apéritif, Cantaloupe, Pineapple and Lime, which was a perfect accompaniment to the Hokkaido Scallop Crudo.

The breathtaking views of the DTLA skyline served as a stunning backdrop to this intimate gathering. The harmonious marriage of flavors from Chef Fraser, impeccable service, and exclusive setting ensured a truly memorable experience for all residents in attendance.

Previous events of the dining series have featured other top names of the LA food scene, including Chef Christophe Eme at May’s installment.
