At a recent, exclusive preview event in New York City, The Accessories Council showcased its top finds in fashion and accessories – the must-haves for your 2023 holiday gift lists.

Featured brands included Bluetooth-enhanced sunglasses by Lucyd Eyewear, Formula 1-inspired specs by Monza, and new styles from Marchon, Torus and Sama Eyewear; the latest handbag designs by Dolce Vita, 49 Square Miles, Betsey Johnson, Hammitt, and Leigh Ann Barnes; luxury watches by Briston, Locman, and Qannati; bling galore by Alize New York, The Goddaughters, Elyse Ryan Jewelry, Brosway Italia, Pearly Lustre, Phillip Gavriel, SHR Jewelry Group, and The Jewelry Group; and unique fashions and accessories by Pandemonium Millinery,  Folkus, Nandanie, Enrico Cuini, and Freeminded.

Future-focused Lucyd Eyewear features classic to avant-garde frames with sleek curves, clean lines and tactility that discretely integrate compact yet powerful Bluetooth audio technology. The company just launched its 2.0 version of the Lucyd app, introducing seamless integration with ChatGPT.

The 90% female owned, New York City-based brand Dolce Vita, named in honor of the founder’s favorite bar from her days studying it Italy, creates beautiful leather handbag and shoe designs, sure to become timeless essentials of one’s wardrobe. I love The Angie Tote.

49 Square Miles handbags were inspired by the allure and eclectic vibe of San Francisco, created to capture the rugged beauty and indie spirit of the iconic city. Made with the highest quality Italian materials, the brand’s latest design The Pacific Slouch is made in Italian washed nubuck, in rich, neutral shades. Unlined to embrace its softness, the bag has a zip pouch inside to protect valuables, and a removeable chain accent.

Iconic designer brand Betsey Johnson has the perfect handbag for any occasion or taste, the ultimate finishing touch to any outfit. Classic totes, hands-free crossbody bags, sparkling evening clutches – there’s so much to choose from.

Briston Watches, created by longtime watchmaking industry executive Brice Jaunet, features two collections, the sporty Clubmaster the and avant-garde Streamliner. The Clubmaster collection, defined by its cambered-square shape, is offered in different materials to dress its retro-chic case shape, including cellulose acetate or stainless steel. Briston has also joined forces with Italian company Mazzucchelli to develop the watch cases, made of premium grade, corrosion-resistant stainless steel.  The Clubmaster Iconic Acetate is a showstopper.

Folkus, the designer of beautiful, multipurpose, durable  sustainable good “inspired by the ways and means of Black folk.”  The brand features specialty gifts, gift wrap, and my favorite, the Eleanor Vegan Leather, Stone Paper Journal.

Finally, to restore our precious clothes and accessories, California-based Margaret’s Couture Cleaner showcased its bespoke services to care for our favorite high fashion and vintage finds.
